Covered market

The covered market was opened in 1961, but its composition and dome are worthy of attention of historians and architects to this day. The prefabricated domed structure of the building consists of 15 ring tiers, for lighting in 8 of them there are 768 round holes with "stalinite" glasses. Much later, for the interior of the Covered market, the mosaic panels on the subject of agriculture were ordered; the competition of sketches was won by V. Ternovykh. One wall of the market is decorated with the mosaic on the theme of livestock farming, another - on the theme of plant growing. According to the author, the Art Fund of the USSR never paid it off for his work
