Square of Communards

Initially, the underground crossing of the Square of Communards was meant to be used for the road junction, having been constructed as a round open platform for pedestrians with three underground tunnels. There were "The Stars of Commune", three panels made by the monumental artist M. Kushir in 80s. In 2000, a shopping centre was built over the road junction; as a result, one of the panels fell down and another one was fenced, leaving only one panel to last until our days. The mosaics had been surrounded by granite flagstones which are also likely to have been removed. The mosaics of the circle by Oleksandr Porozhnyuk were completely destroyed
