
Stetsenko Viktor
Stetsenko Viktor Mykolajovych was born on 05.09.1944 in the city of Pryluky in the Chernihiv region.
In 1969 he graduated from the Odessa Art School named after Grekov. In 1975 he graduated from the Higher Art and Industrial School named after Vera Mukhina (Sankt Petersburg). He studied the monumental and decorative art under the guidance of A. Kazantsev, professors G. Rublev, K. Johannsen, G. Savinov.
The artist has lived in Kyiv since 1977. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1986. Since 1969 he has participated in republican, union and international exhibitions.
The main monumental works of the Soviet era:
- Relief-mosaic "Man and the Biosphere", 1980, Kirovohrad Regional Hospital, Kropyvnytskyi (Kirovograd).
- Mosaic on the facade of the Municipal Institution of General Secondary Education #2, 1987, Pivdenne, Odesa Oblast.
- Mosaic panel "Ukraine", 1995, "Ukrainian Souvenir" store, "Ukrainian Heroes" Square (Lva Tovstoy Square), Kyiv.
The artist continues to create mosaic panels today - for church buildings and private collections.
