Sun, Stars and Constellations, fountaine

The mosaic fountain "Sun, Stars and Constellations" was created in 1963-1967 by the Ukrainian cartists couple Ada Rybachuk and Vlolodymyr Melnichenko in front of the former Kyiv`s Pioneers Palace, now Kyiv Palace of Youth and Children. 

It was the verz first case in the newest history of independent Ukraine, when the mosaic item created in Soviet times was restored and opened to the public in 2019. The initiative to restore the fountain was launched by the Palace in 2017, and Kyiv’s mayor, Vitaliy Klichko, supported it. Vladimir Melnichenko fulfilled the author’s control over the restoration works.
